Who I am
Originally from the New Orleans area, I moved to Portland in 2016 to dance with PDX Contemporary Ballet. But after years of dancing, I soon felt ready for a change. Dance was always a form of healing and meditation for me, so when I found bodywork, I felt right at home.
I graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in 2020, which was both difficult and perfect timing. Building a practice based on touch and connection in a time when these things weren’t accessible due to COVID-19 was a challenge. But I think we can all agree it’s given us a new perspective on the importance of slowing down, presence, and human connection.
I knew from the beginning of my massage journey that I wanted to work with both hands and feet. I offer Deep Tissue and Swedish massage, but my favorite modalities are Sarga and Thai. You can learn more about these unique styles of bodywork here.
P.S. I get asked a lot about my name cause it’s the Frenchiest French name ever. My mom is French and my dad is from NOLA, so that’s why! Sadly, I don’t speak French (unless Cajun stuff like Tchoupitoulas counts) but I do pronounce my name a little different:
myrrh-ee-ELLE (rhymes with Isabelle if that helps) But Mu works too!
